Geoff Anstey has 40 years of experience in urban planning, development, research and analysis in state and local governments, consulting and academia. His major focus is on improving data to better inform regional and local land supply and infrastructure planning and funding decision-making. His urban planning and design professional knowledge base is supplemented by PhD-level research and further studies into the economic and social drivers of development.

Geoff has designed and managed the creation of local and regional property-level land supply databases for residential and industrial land. Since 2008 he has been a major contributor to the program design and preparation of reports for land supply and development monitoring in South East Queensland (SEQ). He was the key contributor to land supply, demand and infrastructure analyses for the South East Queensland Regional Plan 2017 (ShapingSEQ) and has undertaken similar analyses for other regional and local plans across his career.

Geoff’s land supply and development data creation, management, analysis and interpretation skills and insight are underpinned by an extensive background in strategic and statutory land use and infrastructure planning.
